If you are an iPhone user, you will know about the 'Do Not Distrub' (DND) mode. Or perhaps you rarely use these features on iOS 11 devices? Well, the DND feature in iOS 11 is not very useful. Therefore, Apple has improved the mode on iOS 12.

DND mode can be activated by default from the control center. First, you need to move up to open the control center on iOS 12. You will find a crescent shaped DND icon.

Press the DND icon to activate it. If you need some standard DND settings, tap and hold the icon to get the options as shown in the image below.

To adjust the DND mode, you can go directly to 'Settings' and then press 'Do Not Distrub'. You can activate/deactivate it from here and can control several advanced options too.

Well, this time AllTutorials will explain some of the benefits of the DND mode feature, as quoted from Ubergizmo, Wednesday (11/07/2018).

↪ 1. Scheduled DND.
Actually you don't need to open the control center to get DND mode. You can activate it at a certain time, by clicking on the 'Scheduled' option, then selecting the desired time range.

↪ 2. Bedtime DND.
If you want to activate Bedtime mode, the lock screen will automatically dim, until brightness, notifications, and calls appear in the 'Notification Center'.

↪ 3. Silence Settings.
Silence mode cannot receive notifications or calls. To get that mode, you just select the 'Always Silent' option. If you want to activate calls and notifications in your unlocked device, you can set it to 'When iPhone is Locked'.

↪ 4. Call Priority.
In an emergency, storing some contacts is very important. The trick, click 'Allow Calls From', then change to 'Everyone' and even select 'No One'. You can also select certain contact groups.

↪ 5. DND While Driving.
This feature is recommended for those of you who often connect iPhone via Bluetooth when driving. Please note, the DND mode will be connected to your car's Bluetooth device. Just click 'Automatically', or you can set it manually.
